Job summary

The Alaska Center is seeking a Climate and Clean Energy Program Manager to oversee advocacy strategies on climate issues. The role involves community engagement and managing relationships with coalitions and volunteers.

Located in Anchorage, this is a full-time hybrid position offering a salary between $60,000-$65,000, plus an excellent benefits package. Candidates should have experience in grassroots organizing and knowledge of clean energy issues specific to Alaska.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience with grassroots organizing, civic engagement, or voter engagement programs.
  • Commitment to understanding race, class, gender, and other equity issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee advocacy strategies and campaigns around climate and clean energy.
  • Mobilize Alaskans to take action on climate issues.
  • Build relationships with volunteers and community members.
