Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum 5+ years of tax experience focusing on US information reporting, withholding, FATCA and CRS.
  • Strong IRS knowledge under Chapters 3, 4 and 61 with emphasis on year-end reporting.
  • Experience leading or managing a team and developing talent.
  • Proven ability to drive process improvement or transformation initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication for non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with data tools a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key SME on FATCA, CRS, Canadian, Chapter 3, and Chapter 61 withholding and reporting obligations for Workplace Solutions.
  • Demonstrate end-to-end knowledge of tax reporting lifecycle: data sourcing, validation, controls, issue management, filing (1042-S/1042, 1099 series, FATCA/CRS).
  • Partner with business to ensure timely and accurate reporting processes.
  • Advise on documentation requirements, withholding determinations, and reporting obligations.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing tax compliance team with accountability and growth.
  • Set performance expectations, provide coaching, and support career development across all levels.
  • Support capacity planning and prioritization; escalate to senior management as needed.
  • Identify and implement process transformation to improve scalability, risk reduction, and efficiency in tax workflows.
  • Collaborate with technology and operations teams to automate manual processes using tools like Alteryx and Tableau.
  • Maintain policies, procedures, and controls for ongoing information reporting and withholding compliance across client onboarding, account opening, and servicing workflows.
  • Track KPIs and report progress to senior leadership using data-driven insights.

Job description

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic and growing team in a fast-paced and technically challenging environment? This is a unique opportunity to drive tax compliance excellence within our Workplace Solutions business, building and developing a high-performing team while serving as a senior technical authority on Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA)/Common Reporting Standard(CRS), US information reporting, and withholding compliance.

As aTax Compliance Vice Presidentwithin the Workplace Solutions team, you will play a central leadership role in running the day-to-day tax compliance function, leading a team of tax professionals, and partnering closely with business, product, and technology stakeholders. You will be responsible for ensuring adherence with Internal Revenue Service regulations, intergovernmental agreement obligations, and country-specific reporting requirements, while driving process transformation and operational efficiency across the function. You will work closely with senior management to escape key decisions and ensure alignment with broader business and compliance objectives.

Job responsibilities
  • Serve as a key subject matter expert on FATCA, CRS, Canadian, Chapter 3, and Chapter 61 withholding and reporting obligations as they apply to the Workplace Solutions business

  • Support team capacity and prioritization across competing deliverables, escalating to senior management as appropriate
  • Support the identification, design, and implementation of process transformation initiatives across tax compliance workflows, with a focus on scalability, risk reduction, and efficiency
  • Partner with technology and operations teams to drive automation of manual processes, leveraging tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, and other workflow solutions
  • Maintain and enhance policies, procedures, and controls for continuous information reporting and withholding compliance across client onboarding, account opening, and servicing workflows
  • Track key performance indicators for the team, using data-driven insights to identify improvement opportunities and report progress to senior leadership
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related field
  • 5+ years of tax experience, with a strong focus on US information reporting, withholding, FATCA, and CRS
  • Strong technical knowledge of IRS requirements under Chapters 3, 4, and 61, with a particular focus on the year end reporting requirements
  • Experience leading or managing a team, with a track record of developing talent and contributing to team performance
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to process improvement or transformation initiatives, with measurable outcomes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex tax concepts into clear guidance for non-technical audiences
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint capabilities
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Prior experience in financial services, asset management, or an equity compensation environment
  • Familiarity with automation and data analytics tools, such as Alteryx, Tableau, and others
  • Preferred experience supporting more than one CCB Operations Function/Line of Business
