Job summary

Talbots in Glastonbury, CT is seeking a part-time retail associate to deliver exceptional customer service and drive store sales. You will assist customers, provide fashion guidance, and maintain a welcoming shopping environment while supporting team initiatives.

The role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, with opportunities to engage in community events and brand promotions. A focus on relationship-building and product knowledge will help you grow with Talbots.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to navigate POS/computer/iPad/handheld systems.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Create and foster a culture of hospitality through exceptional customer experiences and build enduring relationships.
• Support all service enhancers to build strong relationships including active use of Concierge.
• Achieve sales and service metrics in key measurable areas including Clientelling/Outreach, Appointment Setting, Talbots Classic Awards etc.
• Plan and prioritize tasks to meet customer and business needs.
• Share current products and fashion trends to wardrobe and inspire customers.
• Participate in community/store activities and events promoting the Talbots Brand.
• Lead/supervise others on occasion and open/close the store.
