Alaska Investment Management in Anchorage is seeking a Client Service Specialist to support client relationships across onboarding, reporting, and meetings. You will coordinate with operations, compliance, accounting, and other teams to ensure timely, accurate service while maintaining confidentiality.

The Client Service Specialist supports Alaska Investment Management's (AIM) client relationships by providing responsive, professional, and accurate service throughout the client lifecycle - serving as the primary point of coordination for client requests, onboarding, documentation, reporting, and meetings.
This role works closely with senior leadership and internal teams (operations, compliance, accounting, and other functional areas) to ensure client needs are met accurately and on time, in accordance with Firm policy and applicable regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is highly organized, service-oriented, detail-focused, and comfortable managing multiple client relationships and priorities in a professional financial services environment.
Serve as a primary point of contact for client inquiries and service needs, developing responsive, professional client relationships and coordinating with internal teams when additional expertise or approval is required.
Coordinate client onboarding from initial documentation through account setup – preparing, collecting, and reviewing documents for completeness, and resolving gaps with compliance or other functions.
Maintain accurate, organized client records, files, and CRM/system data at all times, with strict confidentiality.
Prepare client reports, presentations, correspondence, and meeting materials; coordinate meeting logistics and track follow-up items to completion.
Collaborate across operations, compliance, accounting, investment, legal, and technology teams to address client needs, escalating sensitive or complex matters to senior team members as appropriate.
Track client-related tasks, deadlines, and deliverables, proactively flagging upcoming issues before they become problems.
Support development and improvement of client service procedures, templates, checklists, and workflows.
Perform all duties in accordance with Firm policies and applicable regulatory requirements, including recordkeeping and audit/compliance support as needed.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
2–5 years of experience in client service, client relations, financial services, or a related function.
Experience communicating directly with clients, managing multiple priorities, and coordinating documentation or onboarding processes.
Experience handling confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
Strong client-service orientation with excellent written and verbal communication.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through.
Sound judgment and discretion; know when to elevate.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn CRM/business systems.
