Job summary

RJI Search is seeking a Client Service Specialist in Employee Benefits to support a portfolio of high-value clients. The hybrid role requires 2+ years of health and benefits experience and a focus on resolving claims and eligibility issues.

Training is onsite for 90 days in Camden, then a mix of in-office and remote work with a collaborative team. You will own assigned accounts, manage inquiries, and coordinate with carriers to deliver timely, accurate information.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of health and benefits experience from the insurance carrier side, broker, consulting firm, or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience resolving claims and eligibility issues.
• Familiarity with a benefits administration system.
• Public entity experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong organization, time management, and follow-through with a busy book of accounts.

Responsibilities

• Resolve member issues and claims inquiries end-to-end, coordinating with carriers to close items.
• Handle eligibility questions and billing production, review, and distribution for accounts.
• Answer client questions on coverage, plan structure, rates, claims, and billing; know SBCs and SPD materials.
• Keep account records accurate in agency management and document systems.
• Partner with consultants and teammates to deliver excellent day-to-day service and support special projects.

Job description

Client Service Specialist, Employee Benefits - Terrific company, team and supervisor! This role is open due to company growth.

Hybrid role, first 90 days onsite for training, and 3 days in office, 2 remote after training.

Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

$55,000 to $79,000+, based on experience, plus performance incentive and excellent, comprehensive benefits. 90 days onsite for training in Camden, from there 2 days remote / 3 in office weekly.

Are you the person colleagues turn to when a claim is stuck, an eligibility issue doesn't add up, or a member needs someone to finally get them an answer? Our client, a reputable, well-established insurance brokerage, is adding two Client Service Specialists to its Employee Benefits team.

About the Role

You'll join a collaborative team of about 10 client service professionals supporting the firm's highest revenue generating clients. You'll own a set of assigned accounts and be the go-to person for resolving member issues, claims, and eligibility questions, working independently while knowing you can loop in teammates whenever you need a second set of eyes. This is a high-impact, revenue-generating division, and the work matters to the people it serves. 90 days onsite for training, then 2 days remote / 3 days in office weekly.

What You'll Do

• Resolve member issues and claims inquiries from start to finish, working closely with carriers to get the information needed to close them out.
• Handle eligibility questions and billing production, review, and distribution for your accounts.
• Answer client questions on coverage, plan structure, rates, claims, and billing, with a working knowledge of SBCs, SPDs, and other plan materials.
• Keep account records and documentation accurate and up to date in the firm's agency management and document systems.
• Partner with consultants and teammates to deliver excellent day-to-day service, and take on special projects as needed.

What You Bring

• 2+ years of health and benefits experience from the insurance carrier side, a broker or consulting firm, or a third-party administrator (TPA experience is a strong plus) or internal HR department working in benefits.
• Hands-on experience resolving claims and eligibility issues.
• Familiarity with a benefits administration system.
• Public entity experience is a plus, but not required.
• Strong organization, time management, and follow-through, with the ability to manage a busy book of accounts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to build relationships with clients, brokers, carriers, and colleagues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• A college degree is preferred.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
