Job summary

Alera Group, Inc. in Greenville, SC is looking for a Client Service Specialist to support Employee Benefits with a high-touch, proactive service approach. This hybrid role serves clients and their employees, handling questions, eligibility, billing, and enrollment communications.

Responsibilities include maintaining records, supporting renewals and implementations, and collaborating with internal teams to improve service and efficiency. A Life & Health license within six months is expected.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • Ability to obtain Life & Health License within six months.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary resource for employee benefit questions, claims issues, eligibility concerns, billing inquiries, and benefit administration support.
  • Deliver responsive, high-quality service while building strong client relationships.
  • Assist with open enrollment activities and employee communications.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation within agency management and benefits administration systems.
  • Support client implementations, renewals, billing reconciliations, and ongoing service requests.
  • Ensure data accuracy and timely completion of administrative processes.
  • Contribute to positive client experiences that support retention and long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify service improvements and drive operational efficiency.
  • Support special projects and initiatives that enhance overall client success.

Qualifications
What You Bring
Required
  • High school diploma
  • Ability to obtain a Life & Health License within six months of employment
  • Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Experience supporting employee benefits, insurance, or client service functions
  • Experience with benefits administration or agency management systems

Additional Information
Compensation

Hourly range - $23.00 – $35.90 per hour
