Job summary

Homewood Veterinary Care in Homewood, IL is seeking a friendly Client Service Representative to be the first contact for clients and pets. The role demands a bubbly, outgoing personality, excellent communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinic environment.

You will greet clients, schedule appointments, process payments, and support the front desk team. Weekend availability is required; future Saturday hours may be added as the practice grows; benefits include

Responsibilities

Open and close the practice per manager instructions.
Maintain front desk, reception, waiting area and exam rooms for cleanliness and professionalism.
Process cash, checks, and card payments; manage credit accounts as needed.
Schedule appointments and coordinate clinic workflow with doctors.
Update client/patient files and send reminders to clients.

Homewood Veterinary Care officially opened as of October2022! Previously Markham Animal Clinic, we outgrew our old facility and are very fortunate to have moved into a new, spacious, and beautiful hospital. We are an AAHA accredited practice and our team promotes modern medicine while also offering a great patient and client experience.

Our new facility offers 6 exam rooms, dedicated surgery and dental suites, state of the art equipment, separate cat and dog areas (Fear Free of course!), and many other enhancements which will make it feel like home.

The Client Service Representative is the first point of contact for our clients, whether they are calling our hospital or walking through our doors.

We are seeking someone with a bubbly, outgoing personality who genuinely enjoys interacting with people and animals. The ideal candidate understands the importance of creating a positive first impression, remaining compassionate during stressful situations, and providing exceptional customer service.

This is a fast-paced position that requires excellent communication, organization, and the ability to multitask while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly, and dependable Client Service Representative (CSR) to join our growing team!

Anticipated Work Schedule

Monday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Tuesday – Friday: 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM

Future Saturday Availability: Homewood Veterinary Care anticipates expanding its services to include Saturday appointments. Any future Saturday scheduling expectations will be discussed with team members prior to implementation.

Schedules are subject to operational needs and applicable meal and rest break requirements.

Essential Responsibilities

Leads practice opening and closing procedures per Practice Manager instructions and practice procedures.
Ensures all public areas are clean and presentable for patients; cleans and straightening areas including the front desk, reception area, waiting area, office, public bathroom(s) and exam rooms.
Processes cash, checks, charge card payments and credit account payments.
Schedules appointments for the clinic adhering to practice and Doctor preferences and ensure appropriate workflow.
Assists in the updating of client/patient files, as needed.
Prepares and sends client correspondence.
Sends reminder notices to clients for periodic notifications; conduct ... re-calls to clients on a timely basis from a call back list.
Performs a backup of the computer system on a regular basis, as directed.
Performs and oversees the performance of posting daily business.
Welcomes clients and patients to the practice with warm and friendly demeanor ...
Answers incoming telephone calls applying proper telephone etiquette.
