We are a busy walk-in veterinary hospital serving the Tampa Bay area, providing wellness and vaccination care, urgent and critical care, dentistry, and a variety of surgeries.As one of the first points of contact for our clients, you will play an important role in creating a positive experience for both pets and their families. If you enjoy working with people, love animals, and can stay calm and organized in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you!**Key Responsibilities:*** Welcome clients and their pets with a friendly, professional attitude* Answer phones and respond to client questions and requests* Gather accurate patient history and information and communicate appropriately with the medical team* Schedule and coordinate appointments and follow-up care* Provide clients with clear discharge and follow-up instructions* Process payments, financing, and other transactions accurately* Maintain accurate client and patient information in our practice management system* Send appointment reminders, confirmations, and follow-up communications* Make outbound calls to help reconnect with clients who are overdue for care* Educate clients about preventive care, hospital services, and available resources* Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area* Work closely with our veterinary team to keep patient flow moving efficiently* Assist with other hospital and client-service needs throughout the day**Qualifications:*** Previous **veterinary reception, veterinary customer service, healthcare reception, or similar experience required*** Able to work rotating Saturdays* Excellent communication and customer service skills* Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment* Strong organization and attention to detail* Ability to multitask while maintaining a positive and professional attitude* Comfortable learning and using computer systems and veterinary software* Compassionate and comfortable communicating with clients who may be stressed or emotional* A genuine love for animals and interest in veterinary medicine* High school diploma or equivalent* **Competitive pay based on experience*** **Training and development opportunities** to help you grow your skills and career* **Mentorship and career growth opportunities*** **Performance bonus opportunities*** **Mental health and employee support resources*** **Supportive, collaborative team environment*** **Benefits available through AmeriVet**At AmeriVet, we're committed to your growth, development, well-being, and success.
