New Jersey Association on Correction (NJAC) is seeking a field-based program worker to interview participants, build relationships, and provide discharge plans for HIV/AIDS incarcerated individuals. You will conduct orientations, provide casework referrals, and maintain comprehensive client records across prisons and facilities.
Responsibilities include health education, facilitating referrals for housing and legal aid, and weekly reporting to supervisors.
Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited information exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule formats.
Strong computer skills including Windows and Microsoft Office Suite. Must demonstrate basic knowledge of computer interface such as modems, routers, and printers. Should be capable of basic troubleshooting techniques.
$21.53 hr. – $23.58 hr.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
