New Jersey Association on Correction in Asbury Park, NJ is seeking a program assistant to interview participants, build relationships, and prepare discharge plans for HIV/AIDS residents in state prisons and halfway houses. You will conduct orientations, provide referrals and maintain client records, reporting weekly to supervisors.
The role requires a Bachelor's degree, strong English communication, a valid driver's license, and ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited information exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule formats.
Strong computer skills including Windows and Microsoft Office Suite. Must demonstrate Basic Knowledge of Computer interface such as Modems, routers, and Printers. Should be capable of basic trouble shooting techniques.
$21.53 hr. - $23.58hr
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
