Job summary

Higginbotham is seeking an entry-level Client Service Associate to support the service of a book of commercial insurance business. You will assist with policy changes, endorsements, COIs, and day-to-day client needs under supervision.

You will work alongside Account Managers, Account Executives and Producers to ensure policy accuracy, timely deliveries, and high client satisfaction for program clients.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in commercial lines or property and casualty servicing preferred.
  • Active Property and Casualty license preferred; company assists in obtaining.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and an AMS system such as Applied Epic.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with endorsement workflow and processing changes including invoicing and delivery to clients.
  • Support policy reviews for coverage accuracy and maintain client records in AMS.
  • Process policy audits per carrier requirements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Issue and track COIs, maintain logs of holders and expirations; respond to urgent requests.
  • Pull loss runs, review for accuracy, and assist renewal strategy with Account Executives.
  • Manage open subjectivities and inspections via DocuSign; route to carriers.
  • Assist AR tracking and billing discrepancies; coordinate with carriers on payments.
  • Support day-to-day client communication and maintain high satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with team to uphold SLAs and agency procedures.

Job description

The Client Service Associate supports the service of an assigned book of business across commercial lines of insurance, contributing to policy accuracy, client satisfaction, and retention. This is an entry-level role built for candidates who are new to the insurance industry or have minimal experience. The Client Service Associate works alongside Account Managers, Account Executives and Producers to assist with policy changes, endorsements, billing inquiries, certificates, and day-to-day client needs — all aimed at reducing friction and delivering a consistent service experience for FAM’s program clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the endorsement workflow — submitting requests to carriers, following up on completion, and processing approved changes including invoicing and delivery to the client
  • Assist with policy reviews to confirm coverage accuracy and timely delivery; maintain accurate client records in agency management systems
  • Process policy audits in accordance with carrier requirements and collaborate with Account Managers to resolve discrepancies and address audit-related issues.
  • Issue and track Certificates of Insurance (COIs), ensuring compliance with carrier and contract requirements; maintain a current log of certificate holders and expirations and respond promptly to urgent requests
  • Pull loss runs from carriers or TPAs, review for accuracy, and share with Account Executives to inform renewal strategy; support clients through claim reporting and follow-up as needed
  • Manages open subjectivities and inspection workflows — requesting LPRs, BORs, and applications via DocuSign, following up with insureds, and routing completed items to carriers
  • Assist with accounts receivable tracking, premium finance agreements, and payment plans; process cancellations and reinstatements under guidance; coordinate with carriers and internal accounting on billing discrepancies
  • Support day-to-day client communication for assigned accounts, responding promptly to inquiries under the direction of senior team members; build positive client relationships and contribute to high satisfaction standards
  • Partner with Account Managers, Account Executives, Marketing, and Producers to support service delivery; maintain SLAs and service timelines while upholding agency procedures and best practices

Experience & Education:
  • 2 years of experience in commercial lines or property and casualty servicing preferred
Licensing & Credentials:
  • Active Property and Casualty license preferred (company will assist candidate in obtaining P&C license)
Systems:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Applied Epic experience preferred; knowledge of a similar Account Management System (AMS) acceptable
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
  • Repeated use of sight to read documents and computer screens
  • Repeated use of hearing and speech to communicate on telephone and in person
  • Repetitive hand movements, such as keyboarding, writing, 10-key
  • Walking, bending, sitting, reaching and stretching in all directions
