Job summary

Coldstream, a wealth management firm with offices across the Pacific Northwest, invites you to join its client service team in Portland, Oregon. As a Client Service Associate, you will learn the Registered Investment Advisor industry from the ground up and have multiple career paths to choose from.

You will support client relationships, coordinate onboarding, and handle data in our CRM and cash movement processes. A bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years in service help you grow with us.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of customer service experience in a team setting.
• Interest in building a career in wealth management.
• Proficiency with MS Office and CRM systems such as Salesforce/Tamarac.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred for future career path requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between clients and custodians/investment managers; manage client information and cashiering/money movement requests.
• Schedule and organize client meetings; prepare meeting materials in advance.
• Coordinate the new client onboarding process; open brokerage accounts and set up online reporting.
• Update cost basis, track required minimum distributions, reconcile account information.
• Send/receive documents to clients, advisors, and investment custodians.
• Enter and maintain client data and activity notes in our CRM system.

As a Client Service Associate with a supportive team, you will learn the Registered Investment Advisor industry from the ground up and have multiple career paths to choose from.

Our team, formerly known as Cable Hill Partners, has been serving clients for over 11 years, helping them align their financial lives with their values, while ensuring our work reflects our own. In June of 2025 Cable Hill Partners merged with Coldstream, and now we are looking to grow our team.

Team members work from our SW Portland office Monday - Thursday 7:30-4:00pm and Fridays 7:30-2:00pm.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Serving as a liaison between clients and custodians/investment managers, including managing client information and handling all cashiering and money movement requests
• Scheduling and organizing client meetings and proactively preparing meeting materials in advance
• Coordinating the new client onboarding process:
• Opening brokerage accounts, establishing cashiering needs, setting up online reporting access
• Updating cost basis, tracking required minimum distributions, reconciling account information
• Sending and receiving documents to clients, their advisors, and investment custodians
• Entering and maintaining client data and activity notes in our CRM system

Experience And Skills

• 1-3 years of customer service experience and the desire to provide superior client service in a team-oriented environment (experience working in finance is a plus)
• Interest in building a career in the wealth management industry
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with Salesforce CRM and/or Tamarac portfolio accounting (or similar systems) is a plus
• Excellent communication skills, including proper grammar and punctuation
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow established processes consistently
• Strong prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently
• Excellent reliability
• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred due to future career path requirements

In terms of pay expectations, we assess each candidate individually based on their experience and qualifications and offer competitive compensation that reflects the value they bring to the team. Base pay typically starts between $60k - $70k plus an annual bonus and a generous benefits package.
