First Merchants Bank is seeking a Customer Relationship Representative to join our team! This full-time position focuses on providing high-quality customer service by accurately and efficiently completing bank transactions and suggesting products and services that meet customers' financial needs. We support you to exceed personal sales and service goals while delivering a meaningful customer experience.

Responsibilities

1. Provide excellent customer service by:
   • Responding to customer requests for banking transactions.
   • Answering customer inquiries and problems with solutions that meet current needs.
   • Building customer loyalty and advocates.
2. Contribute to banking center operation by:
   • Balancing cash, transactions, vault, and ATM.
   • Ensuring compliance with regulations and reporting.
   • Following security policies to protect customer privacy.
   • Assisting with opening and closing the banking center.
3. Participate in a sales environment by:
   • Selling bank products and making referrals.
   • Knowing all bank products.
   • Participating in meetings and coaching.
4. Lead and support staff:
   • Training, coaching, and guiding staff.
   • Attending training sessions.
   • Leading sales and service activities.
   • Ensuring policies and procedures are followed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months experience selling products or services.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in sales or banking.
• S.A.F.E. Act Registration upon employment (within 3 months).
• Obtain Notary Public designation within 12 months.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior banking experience.
• Ability to sell and cross-sell bank products.
