Vice President of Client Relationships, AmRent, Inc.

JOB SUMMARY: The Client Relationship Manager serves as the primary liaison for existing B2B accounts, building and maintaining strong relationships with property management companies, housing authorities, manufactured housing providers, and other housing industry clients.This salaried position focuses on account retention, growth, and expansion through consultative relationship management and strategic upselling of resident screening products and services.

This role offers remote work opportunities for candidates located within the Columbus, OH or Pittsburgh, PA metropolitan area only. This position requires approximately 25% travel with flexibility to attend on-site meetings and events at one of our main offices.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Master AmRent’s resident screening products, FCRA compliance requirements, and internal systems to become a trusted advisor to clients.
  • Maintain and strengthen client relationships through scheduled video and phone meetings, strategic email communications, and proactive client outreach.
  • Utilize office time to schedule client meetings, update CRM software, develop customized upsell proposals, analyze customer usage patterns, and coordinate with operations team on account modifications.
  • Present AmRent products and services effectively, demonstrating clear value propositions tailored to each client’s specific needs.
  • Monitor competitive landscape and gather market intelligence.
  • Collaborate with management to develop strategic retention plans for key accounts. Cultivate long-term partnerships with clients by understanding their business objectives and positioning AmRent as a strategic partner.
  • Conduct on-site visits with major clients to strengthen relationships and identify growth opportunities, as needed.
  • Represent AmRent at industry trade associations, committees, trade shows, and networking events as determined by management.
  • Participate in periodic in-person sales team meetings for training, strategy alignment, and best practice sharing.
  • Drive revenue growth within assigned book of business by monitoring usage trends, identifying expansion opportunities, and executing targeted upselling initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with professional presentation abilities for video calls and in-person meetings.
  • Self-motivated with strong initiative, discipline, and ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • Proven ability to prioritize competing demands, self-manage multiple projects, and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with ability to create professional presentations and analyze data.
  • Technical aptitude for quickly mastering proprietary CRM systems and integrated third-party software platforms.
  • Natural relationship-builder with a consultative approach to understanding client needs and identifying growth opportunities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

·1-2 years of sales, account management, or customer relationship experience.

·Experience with or willingness to learn AI tools and emerging technologies.

REMOTE WORK REQUIRMENTS:

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the responsibilities of the job, the person in this position will be required to frequently communicate information so others will understand. The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time and must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. The person in this position may need to occasionally move about the inside of an office. The person in this position may need to position self to maintain files in a cabinet and place computers under a desk or in a cabinet. This position requires the ability to constantly observe typewritten text on a computer screen. The person in this role is required to operate a laptop and use a telephone regularly. The person in this position may be required to travel throughout the USA by automobile or airplane, which may require overnight lodging.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the person in this role may be in a stationary position in an office setting and may be exposed to quiet to moderate noise level.
