Qualifications

• Open and support new consumer accounts and business accounts in a branch banking environment.
• Process teller transactions and account maintenance requests accurately and efficiently.
• Recommend banking products and services based on client needs and relationship-building conversations.
• Maintain compliance with banking policies, procedures, documentation standards, and applicable regulations.
• Minimum of 3 years of banking teller experience preferred for senior-level consideration.
• Experience opening consumer accounts is required.
• Experience opening basic or complex business accounts is required depending on level.
• Strong knowledge of branch banking operations, new account procedures, proper account titling, and required documentation.
• Working knowledge of banking regulations, including Bank Secrecy Act requirements and information security practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and banking software or core banking systems.
• Strong customer relations skills with the ability to communicate professionally with clients, employees, and internal partners.
• Excellent judgment, attention to detail, confidentiality, and ability to accept responsibility.
• Ability to cross-sell products and services while maintaining a consultative, client-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Open, maintain, and close consumer and business accounts, including checking, savings, CDs, IRAs, and related account types.
• Interview and profile clients to identify financial needs and recommend appropriate banking products and services.
• Cross-sell bank products, refer clients to internal partners, and support branch profitability and growth goals.
• Process teller transactions as needed while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and a strong balancing record.
• Ensure all new account documentation is accurate, approved, uploaded, and compliant with bank policies and banking regulations.
• Provide professional, courteous service to clients in person and by phone while resolving inquiries and supporting customer retention.
