The Role

Guidant Financial is seeking a remote Client Relations Specialist. With moderate autonomy, this role supports the Bookkeeping and Tax Services department by managing client communications, workflows, and processing responsibilities.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead communication with clients, addressing technical accounting, product, pricing, and process questions of varying complexity.
• Manage and resolve client escalations using customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Guide clients through product changes and follow up on resolutions.
• Explain and prepare add-on billing charges.
• Process client terminations.
• Provide high-quality bookkeeping and tax services to a diverse client portfolio.
• Understand client business models to support products, processes, and relations.
• Advise on client communication best practices.

Additional Functions

• Support maintenance, onboarding, and tax teams via phone or email.
• Contribute to department and team projects.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance, or equivalent experience.
• Proficient with QuickBooks Online; certification is highly desired.
• At least 3 years of bookkeeping experience in a multi-client environment.
• At least 3 years of client service experience handling tasks of varying complexity for small business owners.
• Knowledge of small business accounting and tax services.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Problem-solving, process improvement, critical thinking, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work independently in an autonomous environment.
