Job summary

Talbots is seeking a part-time retail associate at Store 00055 Twelve Oaks MI-Novi to create welcoming customer experiences and build lasting client relationships. You will engage customers with fashion knowledge, stay aligned with brand standards, and participate in community events while supporting store operations.

The role requires strong communication, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, and comfort with POS/iPad systems. Benefits and discount programs are offered.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing sales experience and relationship-building focus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high integrity.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions as needed.
• Comfort with using POS/handheld devices and store technology.

Responsibilities

• Create and foster a culture of hospitality through exceptional customer experiences and build enduring relationships both internally and externally.
• Support all service enhancers to build strong relationships including active use of Concierge.
• Achieve sales and service metrics in key areas including Clientelling/Outreach, Appointment Setting, Talbots Classic Awards, etc.
• Plan and prioritize tasks to meet customer and business needs.
• Seek to understand customer needs with curiosity through deliberate conversation.
• Share current products and fashion trends to inspire and build trust.
• Participate in community/store events that promote the Talbots Brand.
• Occasionally lead/supervise others and manage store openings/closes.
