Client Partner (Global Account) - Banking & Financial Services
Overview

Client Partners play a key role in our growth and are tasked with rapid business expansion within their assigned accounts. They are responsible for the growth, health, and prospects of account relationships. The Client Partner is the end-to-end account owner responsible for overall account P&L and senior client relationships. We seek a leader with extensive CxO level relationship-building skills, executive connections, and a focus on revenues, operating margin, customer satisfaction, and employee growth and development. The candidate must possess outstanding consulting skills and a deep understanding of IT tools, techniques, systems, and solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Drive profitable growth by identifying and leading all aspects of closing new, renewal, and expansion opportunities.
  2. Develop client engagement strategies and quantify pursuit costs.
  3. Lead accountability for measurable revenue and profit growth within set timelines.
  4. Regularly review account metrics with delivery, operations, and finance teams.
  5. Participate in senior management reviews of account performance metrics.
  6. Collaborate with multiple service lines, innovation teams, and business units to formulate and implement business plans at the account level.
  7. Hold regular meetings and collaborate with customer decision-makers and influencers.
  8. Ensure execution and customer satisfaction across all revenue portfolios.
  9. Identify and forge partnerships, leveraging existing alliances to grow the account.
  10. Shape the thought leadership agenda.
  11. Drive the execution of the innovation agenda for the portfolio.
  12. Increase Cognizant's visibility within the account and industry.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 15+ years in a client-facing or account leadership role within IT professional services or management consulting.
  • Experience leading diverse teams and working in multicultural environments.
  • Strong experience with the global service delivery model.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Deep understanding of business problems, technology, and service solutions in the targeted industry vertical.
  • Proven track record in leading sales, new business, programs, and annuity business portfolios.
  • Ability to navigate large organizations and influence through content and confidence.
  • Experience managing a client P&L of at least $35-40 million, including reporting and metrics assessment.
  • Ability to conceptualize and present solutions for business transformations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MS or MBA degree preferred.
  • Strong background in project environment and application development.
  • Proven ability to contribute to new business development and manage multiple tasks.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Flexible to work across diverse environments and audiences.
