Job summary

Interactive Brokers is seeking a native German translator to work from Florida. You will translate website content, client communications, FAQs, and guides from English to German and back, maintain glossary and translation memory, and perform QA.

Prior experience with financial content and CAT tools is required. The role requires strong communication skills, ability to work independently in a team, and familiarity with trading terminology.

About Your Team

Due to the rapid growth and expansion of our business activities in various markets, we have a full‑time opening for an experienced, motivated, and technology‑oriented individual for a German Financial Translator (English to German and vice versa).

Responsibilities

• Translate a variety of content, such as website, account application, and trading apps (IBKR Desktop, Client Portal, IBKR Mobile).
• Translate client communication emails, bulletins, and announcements.
• Translate FAQs and user guides.
• Maintain glossary and translation memory.
• Perform quality assurance on existing translations (proofread and edit).
• Document processing.

Required Skills

• Native German speaker.
• Proficient in English.
• MA or BA degree in Translation or related discipline.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Daily operation experience with CAT tools is required (configuration and advanced use is a plus).
• Experience with AI technology as an auxiliary function for translation is a strong advantage.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience with a financial institution or translating finance‑related content.
• Knowledge of basic trading terms and familiarity with technical and marketing translation.
• Proven time‑management and organisational skills.
• Personality: self‑confident, open, flexible, and able to work independently in a team‑oriented environment.
