Santander Bank is seeking a Client Onboarding Sr. Analyst to review account opening documentation, perform KYC, CIP and due diligence for new and existing clients. You will collaborate with regional teams to ensure compliance with U.S. and local laws and bank policies.
In this role you will manage and validate client data, support the onboarding unit with training and process improvements, and engage with stakeholders to drive accurate, timely risk reviews across multiple regions.

The Client Onboarding Sr. Analyst is responsible for reviewing account opening documentation, KYC information, and conducting CIP, due diligence and negative media analysis on new and existing clients. The Client Onboarding Sr. Analyst at Banco Santander International (BSI) is responsible for assuring that client accounts are opened in the Commercial 1LOD are in compliance with applicable BSI and Group policies and procedures as well as U.S and local laws and regulations. The Client Onboarding Sr. Analyst will also assist in developing awareness of BSI’s Risk Tolerance Statement; assist with special projects relative to the Onboarding & Documentation Unit. The Client Onboarding Sr. Analyst is responsible for managing the relationship with Regionals and Bankers of the marketing regions they will be supporting. Including identifying improvement opportunities and coordinating necessary action.
The Client Onboarding Sr. Analyst reports to the Client Onboarding & Documentation Unit manager.
Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience
3-5 years of relevant experience or demonstrated required level of proficiency
Manage process or technology
Microsoft Office applications
Ability to multitask
Proactive self-starter, values personal accountability
Strong decision making skills
Detail oriented and accurate
Strong accountability skills
Excellent communications skills: writing & verbal
AML certification(s) preferred, similar or banking experience in control area
Bilingual English, Spanish; Portuguese is a nice to have .
The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
Minimum:
$52,500.00 USD
Maximum:
$87,500.00 USD
