Northwestern Medicine is seeking a part-time phlebotomist to perform venipuncture and specimen processing at client sites in New Lenox, IL and Merrillville, IN. Work 32 hours per week, Monday–Thursday 10am–5pm in New Lenox and Friday 9am–3pm in Merrillville.
The role emphasizes excellent patient service, adherence to policies, and teamwork to support clinical operations. Also involves order entry and clerical duties within lab processes.
This is a part-time, 32 hours per week, phlebotomy position located at client sites in New Lenox, IL, and Merrillville, IN. Must be able to work in New Lenox Monday through Thursday 10am - 5pm and Friday in Merrillville, IN, 9am - 3pm. The Phlebotomist reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. The Phlebotomist provides expert phlebotomy services and must demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills. The phlebotomist must have the ability to function as part of a highly effective team that consistently puts "Patients First". The Phlebotomist is responsible for venipuncture collection and specimen processing. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to order entry in multiple systems, verification of test result receipt, patient information retrieval and lab reception/clerical duties and functions.
