Job summary

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is seeking a Client Manager in business insurance to oversee a diverse book, coordinate marketing, and bind coverage while delivering timely service.

You will work closely with clients and team members to identify exposures, present proposals, and support renewal marketing with a focus on risk management. Hybrid work is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years in customer service, underwriting, or commercial lines insurance preferred.
• Familiarity with insurance markets, binding authority, and underwriting guidelines preferred.
• Must be detailed with excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to negotiate quotations and assess client needs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee servicing of a diverse book of business with accuracy and proper distribution of policies.
• Direct gathering and preparation of submission information for the marketing process.
• Prepare and present comprehensive proposals, bind coverage, and ensure policy documentation accuracy.
• Assist with marketing and placement of new and renewal business and prepare pre-renewal info packets.
• Serve as primary contact for identified clients and respond promptly to requests.
• Conduct risk assessments and provide strategic recommendations for coverage enhancements.
• Provide risk management advice during renewal reviews.

The Client Manager is responsible for managing client accounts, ensuring timely service delivery, and enhancing customer satisfaction. This role involves coordinating the marketing process, preparing proposals, binding coverage, and maintaining accurate policy documentation. The Client Manager will also provide administrative support, assist clients with their insurance needs, and collaborate with team members to drive agency goals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the servicing of a diverse book of business, ensuring accuracy, proper handling, and appropriate distribution of policies, endorsements, and other requests from clients and colleagues.
• Direct the gathering and preparation of submission information for the marketing process, including applications and schedules, and ensure alignment with client needs and agency capabilities.
• Prepare and present comprehensive insurance proposals, binding coverage in accordance with agency guidelines, and ensuring accuracy in policy documentation.
• Assist with the marketing and placement of new and renewal business, including preparing pre-renewal information packets, obtaining loss runs, and finalizing proposal summaries.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for identified clients, responding promptly to requests and overseeing the preparation of necessary documents.
• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ business risk programs, identifying exposures and providing strategic recommendations for coverage enhancements.
• Emphasize risk management when reviewing renewal policies and endorsements, providing risk management advice directly to policyholders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, required.
• 3+ years of experience working in customer service, underwriting, commercial lines insurance for a carrier or broker preferred.
• Familiarity with insurance company markets, binding authority, and underwriting guidelines preferred.
• Must be detailed with excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft office applications required.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to negotiate quotations, evaluate client needs, and develop innovative business solutions.

#The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
