Job summary

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is seeking a Client Manager to oversee a diverse book of business, coordinate the marketing process, and ensure timely service delivery. You will bind coverage, prepare proposals, and maintain accurate policy documentation while delivering superior client service.

This role emphasizes risk assessment and proactive guidance, working closely with teammates to support client needs and drive agency goals in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3+ years of experience in customer service or underwriting for commercial lines.
• Familiarity with insurance markets, binding authority, and underwriting guidelines preferred.
• Must be detailed with strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical skills to negotiate quotations and assess client needs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the servicing of a diverse book of business, ensuring accuracy, proper handling, and appropriate distribution of policies, endorsements, and other requests from clients and colleagues.
• Direct the gathering and preparation of submission information for the marketing process, including applications and schedules, and ensure alignment with client needs and agency capabilities.
• Prepare and present comprehensive insurance proposals, binding coverage in accordance with agency guidelines, and ensuring accuracy in policy documentation.
• Assist with the marketing and placement of new and renewal business, including preparing pre-renewal information packets, obtaining loss runs, and finalizing proposal summaries.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for identified clients, responding promptly to requests and overseeing the preparation of necessary documents.
• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ business risk programs, identifying exposures and providing strategic recommendations for coverage enhancements.
• Emphasize risk management when reviewing renewal policies and endorsements, providing risk management advice directly to policyholders.

The Client Manager is responsible for managing client accounts, ensuring timely service delivery, and enhancing customer satisfaction. #The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
