Job summary

Christensen Group is seeking an Account Management professional in Minnesota to provide day-to-day client management on a book of business and back up client advocacy by handling calls and emails. You will process mail, review certificates, assist with audits, and manage service workflow while maintaining strong relationships with insureds and carriers.

The role requires a 5+ year track record in business insurance customer service, proficiency with online quoting, and excellent communication

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Business Insurance customer service experience.
• Experience with online quoting and overall knowledge of the commercial insurance marketplace.
• Ability to work in a team setting.
• Detail-oriented.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work responsibilities.
• Excellent communication skills — verbal and written.
• Active Resident Property and Casualty insurance license.
• Epic experience is preferred.
• Microsoft Office experience (Word & Excel) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day client management on a book of business.
• Backup Client Advocate in handling calls/emails and investigations of insured questions (Billing, Change Requests, Certificates).
• Process incoming mail for the team and distribute to team.
• Perform complex contract reviews for certificates of insurance and issue special handling certificates.
• Complete and assist insured with Audit Disputes.
• Manage workflow for the service team and delegate tasks.
• Follow agency procedures for client management systems.

Account Management

• Provide day-to-day client management on a book of business.
• Backup Client Advocate in handling of calls/emails and investigates questions and concerns from insured as needed. (Billing, Change Requests, Certificates, and Basic Policy questions).
• Process incoming mail (postal and email) for the team and distribute to team.
• Complex Contract Review for certificates of insurance and deliver special handling certificates.
• Complete and assist insured with Audit Disputes.
• Manage Service Team Workflow - delegating to the proper teammate.
• Follow agency procedures for client management system.

New/Renewal Marketing

• Contribute to agency revenue and retention goals by following established Commercial Lines policies and procedures.
• Review expiration checklist and manage workflow per Commercial Lines Service Standards.
• Work with team to coordinate market ready submissions including specialty applications.
• Review and roll renewal submissions or create Acord applications & prepare Indio submission for renewal info gathering.
• Complete online rating with carriers as required for coverage placement.
• Prepare finance agreements with finance companies.
• Manage New Business efforts - Review of quotes, preparation of proposal, binder orders to carriers.
• Build & maintain relationships with key partners (Producer, Carrier Partners, Client, Client Advocate).
• AOR processing.
• Negotiate terms with Underwriters, including Non-Renewal Notices.
• Contract Review (shared role with CA).

Other Duties and Responsibilities

• Accept special assignments as directed by leader.
• Support agency directives in effectively managing agency/carrier relationships.
• Demonstrate general knowledge of agency carriers, carrier/broker marketplace and underwriting in order to coordinate with insurance companies to address client issues and solve client problems.

Requirements

• At least 5+ years of Business Insurance customer service experience (required).
• Experience with online quoting and overall knowledge of the commercial insurance marketplace (required).
