Overview

Legal Services of North Florida has an opening for a full-time (35 hours/week) Intake Specialist to support the firm’s client intake in our Pensacola office. Work for a nonprofit law firm with 140+ employees in eight offices across North Florida that seeks legal justice while understanding the value of work-life balance. The position involves working independently and as part of a team to obtain positive results in civil legal matters for vulnerable members of the community.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the first point of contact for individuals seeking help and connect people with the legal support they need.
  • Engage directly with potential clients to collect initial information about their legal problems, income, and personal circumstances, often during times of stress or crisis.
  • Document information clearly to lay the groundwork for attorneys to assess and respond to each client’s situation.
Qualifications
  • Strong typing and excellent grammar and writing skills.
  • High attention to detail; ability to listen carefully and ask clear, thoughtful follow-up questions.
  • Comfortable working with individuals in high-stress or emotional situations; able to collaborate effectively with others in local and remote team settings.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and use of technology; comfort with typical office software.
  • Preferred: fluency in a second language or experience working with victims or individuals who are experiencing trauma.

Salary and Benefits

Entry level salary of $34,000 is negotiable, depending on experience. Comprehensive fringe benefits package includes:

  • A four-day (35-hour) work week
  • Paid time off includes holidays, sick leave, and personal leave (which after two years increases to four weeks per year)
  • 100% fully paid health insurance for employee and dependent children after 60 days of employment
