Job summary

Encord is seeking an exceptional Forward Deployed Software Engineer to join our product engineering team. This is an engineering-first role where you’ll take the platform into our most strategic customer environments, working directly with clients’ engineering teams to design, build, and ship solutions.

As an early member of the Forward Deployed team, you’ll own end-to-end deployments, build data integrations, and guide customers with best practices while shaping the roadmap.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years in a software engineering role.
• Experience building or working with data integrations and APIs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity and take ownership without being told what to do.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end deployment of the Encord platform for our most strategic customers.
• Build data integrations and technical solutions to support customer onboarding and adoption.
• Guide customers with best practices, run demos, and host workshops.
• Communicate project plans and progress to both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and commercial teams to feed customer insights back into the roadmap.
• Help define and scale the Forward Deployed function as an early team member.
