Job summary

Progressive-Cleaning is seeking a Day Porter for our Melbourne, FL site. The role supports daily facility duties during normal business hours, maintaining cleanliness, sanitizing spaces, and stocking supplies while engaging positively with clients and team members.

Responsibilities include maintaining lobbies and common areas, restroom upkeep, trash removal, and coordinating with supervisors to address client needs. Strong communication and reliability are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
• Superior customer service and interpersonal skills; comfortable serving as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to manage time and tasks with limited direct supervision.
• Able to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting supplies and equipment throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lobby and entryway areas throughout the shift, keeping them clean, tidy, and presentable at all times.
• Clean and maintain common areas such as kitchens, break rooms, cafeterias, and patios.
• Regularly clean and disinfect touch points and high‑touch surfaces throughout the facility.
• Monitor and service restrooms throughout the shift, and restock supplies as needed.
• Remove trash and debris from all areas of the facility.
• Perform daily site inspections and complete required checklists and reporting.
• Manage inventory and supplies for the site.
• Ensure machines and equipment are clean and in proper working order.
• Respond to service-related calls, including work orders, spills, floods, door access issues, and emergency cleanups.
