Job summary

Valon in New York City is seeking a full-time data analyst to take end-to-end ownership of client data migrations to the Valon Data Schema and API. You will work with client data teams to stand up data infrastructure, migrate or build reporting, and ensure accuracy across large-scale projects under tight deadlines.

You should be technically strong with SQL, dbt, and BI tools, comfortable communicating with clients, and eager to dive into mortgage servicing complexities to deliver reliable

Qualifications

• 2-4+ years of full-time data analytics or BI experience.
• Experience in a customer-facing role.
• Expert SQL skills.
• Experience with dbt.
• Experience using data visualization tools (Hex, Looker, PowerBI, Tableau).
• Experience working with data engineering teams.
• Ability to apply data analytics to business problems.
• Mortgage servicing experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and project management under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Collect and document client requirements at the project level.
• Establish new data processes, tools, and systems according to plan.
• Create reporting pipelines in dbt.
• Write, rewrite, or migrate SQL queries, reports, and dashboards.
• Conduct analysis to inform client business decisions.
• Document, audit, and improve client data sets.
• Respond to data requests from the client and operations teams.
• Meet tight project deadlines.
• Dive deep into mortgage servicing industry complexities.
