Client Development Manager

Full Time Manager Atlanta, GA, US

4 days ago Requisition ID: 1410

Salary Range: $100,000.00 To $115,000.00 Annually

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:

The Client Development Manager is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with a defined portfolio of MountainSeed clients. This role is focused on driving client retention and account growth through proactive, face-to-face engagement and a deep understanding of MountainSeed's Marketplace appraisal management platform. The Client Development Manager operates as an extension of both the Client Development and Client Success functions, traveling regularly to visit clients, developing operational fluency in the AMC business, and supporting the creation of customized marketing and reporting materials for their assigned accounts. This role reports directly to the Director of Client Development.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL GET TO:
  • Serve as the primary relationship contact for an assigned portfolio of MountainSeed clients, with a focus on building and maintaining relationships at the executive level, including Chief Credit Officers, Chief Lending Officers, and other senior stakeholders who influence the institution's appraisal management program.
  • Execute a defined visit cadence, traveling multiple weeks per month to conduct in-person client visits including office meetings, lunches, dinners, and other engagement activities.
  • Achieve commission targets tied to visit completion and client retention metrics within the assigned portfolio.
  • Develop a thorough working knowledge of MountainSeed's Marketplace platform and appraisal management business through structured onboarding and ongoing experience, becoming a credible resource for clients on platform usage, compliance workflows, and appraisal ordering processes.
  • Identify opportunities for account growth, expansion, and retention within the assigned portfolio, and communicate those opportunities to the Director of Client Development and relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in the creation of customized client-facing marketing and reporting materials using client data, tailoring content to specific institutions and their business needs.
  • Partner with Client Success representatives to ensure seamless client experiences, coordinating on open issues, training needs, and account health.
  • Collect and relay client feedback to internal teams, surfacing concerns or service gaps that may affect retention or satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, visit notes, and account activity in Salesforce.
  • Represent MountainSeed professionally in all client-facing settings, reinforcing the company's brand, values, and reputation within the banking and credit union community.
  • Support the Director of Client Development on broader client development initiatives as needed.
THIS OPPORTUNITY IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE/ARE:
  • Bachelor's degree with 5 or more years of experience in relationship management, account management, client success, or a client-facing sales role within financial services, SaaS, or a related industry, with demonstrated ability to engage professionally at the executive level.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a natural ability to build rapport and engage professionally across levels of an organization.
  • Ability and willingness to travel multiple weeks per month for client visits, with strong organizational skills to plan and execute efficient multi-stop travel.
  • Comfortable operating in a learning environment — no prior knowledge of appraisal management or the AMC industry is required, but a demonstrated ability to develop subject matter fluency is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, for creating and formatting client-facing materials.
  • Experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM for tracking activity and managing account records.
  • Adaptability, professionalism, and a high standard of follow-through in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • A genuine interest in the community banking and credit union industries is a plus.
