Job summary

First MainStreet Insurance (FMSI), a TrueNorth entity, is seeking an Account Manager II in Mason City, Iowa to maintain relationships with our valued clients by helping them with their insurance protection needs. You will manage a portfolio of accounts and strive for high client satisfaction and retention.

As part of a high-performance team, you will coordinate with carriers, monitor exposures, and pursue opportunities to grow accounts.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in customer service and/or customer relationship management.
• 2+ years of experience within the insurance industry.
• Desire to obtain license as required within 30 days of hire, if not currently licensed.
• Proven experience in customer service and/or customer relationship management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Foster and maintain client relationships by managing a book of business.
• Serve as a contributing member of a high-performance team.
• Regularly communicate with accounts to address concerns and identify growth opportunities.
• Monitor and report information to minimize exposures for clients.
• Seek opportunities to round out accounts to mitigate client risk.
• Monitor account satisfaction and ensure high retention.
• Market new or renewal business, possibly with a Risk Advisor.
• Accurately manage assigned account activity in the agency management system.
• Follow established workflows and processes.
• Develop knowledge of industry trends and market conditions.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and carriers.
• Assist with agency autonomy items including marketing and facilities when appropriate.
• Maintain confidentiality of client and company information.
