You will help gather documentation, explain steps, and ensure a smooth, personalized prep experience in collaboration with Tax Advisors. In this role, you’ll build trust, manage multiple client interactions, and use technology to support the intake process and digital tools.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a client-facing role with digital platforms and phone communication.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to explain processes clearly and empathetically.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a client-first mindset and trust-building ability.
• Working knowledge of individual tax return preparation and IRS regulations; passing score on HR Block Tax knowledge assessment.
• High confidence using technology to support client interactions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn proprietary systems quickly.
• Ability to troubleshoot client issues, think critically, and resolve concerns professionally.
• Strong attention to detail and organization to manage multiple interactions and timely follow-ups.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs and processes.
• Passion for delivering exceptional service and creating a positive client experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact, creating a warm, professional environment.
• Guide clients through the intake process, organizing tax documents and information.
• Clearly communicate steps of the tax prep process and review pricing with clients.
• Partner with Tax Advisors to ensure necessary client information is provided.
• Act as liaison between client and Tax Advisor for a seamless experience.
• Educate clients on HR Block’s service options and digital tools.
• Assist with paying or electronically signing tax returns, escalating as needed.
• Handle client information with confidentiality and in compliance with policies.
• Collaborate with office staff to improve client experience and office goals.
• Conduct follow-up communications to ensure client satisfaction and referrals.
