Illumination Health + Home is seeking a Client Care Associate in California to support shelter clients and maintain a safe, welcoming environment. You will assist with intakes, prep rooms for families, and coordinate with shelter staff to address needs.
The role also involves daily cleaning, safety checks, and distributing donations across sites. A high school diploma, basic computer skills, and bilingual English/Spanish are preferred; 1 year of relevant experience is desirable.
Homelessness is the largest social and public health crisis in California. Illumination Health + Home is a growing non‑profit organization dedicated towards disrupting the cycle of homelessness by providing targeted, interdisciplinary services in our recuperative care centers, emergency shelters, housing services and children's and family programs. IF currently has 13+ facilities with 22+ micro-communities scattered across Orange County, Los Angeles County and the Inland Empire.
Pay range is $20-21/hour. Monday - Friday 10am-6:30pm.
Role
The Client Care Associate is responsible for addressing clients’ immediate shelter needs, providing support and resources to ensure their safety and comfort. This included assisting with intake procedures, coordinating with shelter staff, and providing basic amenities as needed.
Additionally, the associate will maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the multiple shelters, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all clients. The role requires a proactive approach to problem solving and commitment to supporting clients through their immediate housing challenges.
