In this role, you will serve as a vital lifeline for our clients—helping them access, apply for, and maintain essential public benefits such as Medicaid, Social Security (SSDI/SSI), and SNAP. By removing hurdles to healthcare and financial stability, you empower our clients to focus entirely on their healing and wellness journey.

The responsibilities for this position span over several key programs, including Choices, Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES), and Mobile Crisis (MCT).

Why Join Us?

By joining our team, you aren't just filling an administrative position—you are opening doors to healthcare, housing stability, and peace of mind for people who need it most. We offer a supportive, mission-driven workplace culture where your work directly transforms lives.

At Riverbend, you’ll be part of a collaborative, mission-driven team that is deeply committed to both client care and employee growth. We foster a supportive and inclusive environment where your voice matters, your contributions are recognized, and your career can thrive.

If you’re looking for meaningful work, a strong team culture, and real opportunities for professional growth through training, certifications, and advancement—Riverbend is the place to build your future while making a difference.

What You Will Do
  • Client Advocacy & Navigation: Guide clients seamlessly through applications, eligibility determinations, and redeterminations for Medicaid, SSDI/SSI, and vital community resources.
  • Insurance Support: Provide assistance for insurance cases, welcoming new clients without Medicaid, and helping them establish coverage.
  • Benefits & Account Management: Gather required documentation, assist clients in setting up online benefit platforms (such as NH EASY), and manage income-change reporting.
  • Proactive Follow-Along Support: Educate clients on their benefits, troubleshoot coverage hurdles, and offer ongoing support to ensure long-term stability and continued eligibility.
  • Medicare & Prior Authorizations: Manage Medicare forms and ABN updates; expertly obtain, track, and report prior authorizations while coordinating timely renewals.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Maintain meticulous records, uphold strict confidentiality protocols, and ensure full compliance with State, Federal, SAMHSA, and agency standards.
What We’re Looking For
  • Mission-Driven: A deep commitment to supporting individuals with mental health and substance use disorders with empathy, dignity, and respect.
  • Detail-Oriented & Organized: Exceptional ability to track prior authorizations, manage strict renewal deadlines, and navigate government portals (e.g., NH Easy).
  • Strong Communicator: Capable of breaking down policy and benefit information into clear, digestible terms for both clients and internal staff.
  • Collaborative Team Player: Comfortable working hand-in-hand with multidisciplinary clinical teams and external state agencies.
