Job summary

D.A. Davidson in Omaha, NE is seeking a Client Associate to support Financial Professionals and deliver excellent client service. You will help manage client accounts, review documents, and assist in creating financial plans for clients.

You will contribute to client communications and events, facilitate transfers, and help improve processes while adhering to firm policies. This role offers growth in a collaborative, employee-owned culture with strong ethics.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to build client relationships with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy including the ability to accurately perform semi-advanced math.
  • Preference given to candidates with SIE and Series 7/66; if not licensed, pass all tests within 120 days of hire.
  • High school diploma or comparable work experience; post-secondary education preferred.
  • Solid technology skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) and willingness to learn new tech.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional, courteous service handling client requests.
  • Review, maintain and process account documents and information; solve issues related to client accounts and transactions.
  • Assist in crafting financial plans for current and prospective clients.
  • Assist in developing periodic client mailings, communications and events.
  • Facilitate transfer of funds and securities and issue checks as requested.
  • Seek to innovate and streamline processes.
  • Provide general support including phone, correspondence, appointments, filing and other projects.
  • Adhere to branch, firm and compliance policies and regulations.

Primary Qualifications:
  • Proven ability to build client/customer relationships including excellent communication (written and verbal) and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to successfully handle multiple demands and competing priorities in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy including the ability to accurately perform semi-advanced math.
  • Preference given to candidates with these current licenses: the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) and FINRA General Securities Representative (Series 7) Exam and Uniform Securities State Law Exam (Series 66 [or Series 63/65]). If not licensed, requirement to pass all tests for the Series 7 and 66 (or 63/65) licenses within 120 days of hire.
  • High school graduate or comparable work experience. Post-secondary education preferred.
  • Solid technology skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook) and the desire to learn and leverage innovative technologies to optimize the client experience.
Primary Duties:
  • Provide extraordinarily professional and courteous service managing client requests.
  • Review, maintain and process account documents and information as well as solve complex issues and assignments related to client accounts and transactions.
  • Assist with crafting comprehensive financial plans for current and prospective clients.
  • Assist in developing and implementing periodic client mailings, communications and events.
  • Facilitate the transfer of client funds and/or securities and the issuance of checks upon request.
  • Seek to innovate and streamline processes.
  • Provide general support, including but not limited to phone, correspondence, appointments, filing and other projects as assigned.
  • Adherence to all branch, firm and compliance policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.
