Client Aide# Client AideHot JobLos Angeles - CCM - LOS ANGELES, CA 90019## OverviewSalary Range$18.42 - $18.42 Hourly## Description*PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:**The Client Aide is an integral part of our team and helps ensure the safety of our clients and our facilities.**Client Aides work closely with our residents who are vulnerable individuals in need of support,**understanding, and protection.**All employment positions are expected of the following:**1. Serves and protects Christ-Centered Ministries / Restoration Reentry Residence practices by**adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, fedral, state and local requirements;**2. Maintains accurate documentation of service objectives and outcomes as well as other services**in accordance with Federal, State, County and Christ-Centered Ministries / Restoration Reentry**Residence guidelines;**3. Secures client information and maintains client confidence by completing and safeguarding data;**keeping client information confidential and in compliance with HIPAA standards;**4. Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work enviroment by establishing and following standards and**procedures, complying with legal regulations including acting as a mandated reporter.**• Cultivates a meaningful relationship with each client in residence;**• Demonstrates principles of positive interaction and de-escalation of negative behaviors;**• Understands that Restoration Reentry Residence is a healthcare facility and we are providing mental health**treatment to our vulnerable residents who need to be treated with respect at all times;**• Helps the clients cultivate appropriate social, behavioral, and interpersonal skills and attitudes necessary to**community living and adjustment;**• Provides support for clients completing nighttime and morning routines;**• Makes routine checks and records the completion, as specified by program;**• Assures that each client is physically present and accounted for during routine checks and notifying**appropriate personnel if a client is not present;**• Depending on the shift worked:**ü Encourages clients to be in bed at the appropriate time;**ü Encourages clients to awaken in a timely manner if they fail to arise independently;**ü Encourages clients to engage in daytime routines and activities;**• Is knowledgeable of and implements policies and procedures in the CCM Operational guide as the**immediate situation demands including emergency medical problems, unapproved leaves or returns to the**facility, weather related emergencies, security problems, maintenance problems, and in the event of fire;**• Documents any unusual or significant events that are noted during routine checks in the client's individual**log including instances of agitation or behaviors not consistent with client’s baseline;**• Completes all forms of documentation according to individual program policy and procedures;**• Cleans and maintains common areas, kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms and the overall cleanliness of**the residence;**• Reports all damage and maintenance needs in the facility to Maintenance department;**• Conducts crisis intervention as needed;**• Other duties as required.*## Qualifications*QUALIFICATIONS & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES DESIRED:**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:**• High School diploma or GED. Some college preferred;**• At least one year of experience working within a residential facility, preferably including familiarity**with dual-diagnosed individuals and mental health and/or substance-abuse issues;**• Knowledgeable, experienced and committed to housing and homeless issues is essential;**• Demonstrated creative problem-solving skills;**• Knowledge of crisis intervention, Part-R, CPR and First Aid;**• Must be proficient in the following computer applications: Microsoft Word and Excel;**• Must have a valid CA driver license, have reliable transportation and a good driving record;**• Bilingual (Spanish/English) highly desirable.**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:**There is some walking, bending, and kneeling. Must be able to participate in moderate lifting of 30 or more**pounds (suitcases, packages, etc.). This position must be able to support client weight in case of**emergency situation or client disability requiring assistance in walking, etc. There is a risk of exposure to**bodily fluids infections, contagious / blood borne diseases, and chemicals (cleaning agents), an exposed**risk to varying, unpredictable situations (i.e. client behavior).**PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES DESIRED:**• Ability to provide a strong presence in the setting;**• Ability to establish and maintain strong personal boundaries;**• Ability to work within a dynamic environment serving the homeless community;**• Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure to timely client flow;**• Consistently contribute to Christ-Centered Ministries / Restoration Reentry Residence program**developments and produce high quality results on time;**• Team player who enjoys a fast paced environment and operates effectively at all levels;**• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and cope effectively with ambiguity;**• Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to present persuasively.*
