We reach more than 73,000 individuals and families annually, including nearly 13,000 youth, with a significant portion being immigrants and refugees living in poverty.

About the Ending the Epidemic Program

This initiative aims to reduce HIV transmission among high-risk populations in Brooklyn, focusing on men who have sex with men (MSM) and transgender women of color. The program includes online outreach and media campaigns to promote awareness and recruit clients for prevention services, including PrEP and PEP, linkage to healthcare, and social services.

Position Details

Title: Client Advocate

Reports To: Assistant Program Manager

Location: 1259 Flatbush Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11226

Key Responsibilities
  1. Recruit clients for interventions supporting sexual health and social services.
  2. Engage with MSM and Trans & Non-Binary People of color for testing, prevention, and counseling services.
  3. Promote the program via social media and dating apps.
  4. Assist with client intake and develop action plans.
  5. Conduct outreach at high-risk venues and develop marketing content.
  6. Follow up with clients and referral organizations to ensure engagement.
  7. Support clients in overcoming barriers and advocate for their needs.
  8. Maintain accurate client records and complete reports.
  9. Participate in program evaluation activities.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Basic education in English, math, and reading skills.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a mid-sized organization.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of HIV/AIDS-related issues and comfort with online outreach.
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends.
Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $43,000 annually. CAMBA offers health, dental, retirement plan, paid time off, and holidays.
