Job summary

CLA Lakeland, FL location is seeking a Client Accounting and Advisory Services Intern for January 2027 through April 2027. You will assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing for multiple clients, under guidance from senior staff.

The role emphasizes learning accounting principles, supporting client needs, and developing professional skills within CLA's collaborative culture. Travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Working towards a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Degree in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred.
• General knowledge of accounting principles and reporting of financial data.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office products.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Accounts payable / cash disbursements processing, accounts receivable / cash receipts processing, and payroll processing or coordination.
• Supports multiple clients' accounting functions.
• Completes non-complex account reconciliations to be reviewed by senior staff.
• Works as a team member in meeting the needs of the office staff, principals and clients.
• With guidance, provides excellent client service to help clients reach their goals.
