Position: Clerk-Revenue Protection

The Clerk-Revenue Protection will perform intermediate clerical support functions in assigned areas, including:

  1. Calculating, researching, compiling, tracking, and processing data for reports;
  2. Answering telephone calls from customers, including irate/hostile callers;
  3. Dispatching and entering work orders, routing daily investigative work through mobile dispatch;
  4. Entering time and reviewing accounts for field personnel, ordering supplies;
  5. Posting court-ordered restitution payments and recording adjustments on the CIS system to reverse debited diversion fees.

Essential Duties:

  • Responding to inquiries from Division employees, FBI, TBI, police departments, and other parties concerning account data and metering consumption;
  • Typing reports, correspondence, forms, and maintaining an updated filing system;
  • Handling telephone calls, managing schedules, and operating office equipment;
  • Entering and retrieving data using computer software and hardware;
  • Performing bookkeeping functions for restitution payments and revenue received;
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Licenses and Certifications: Must have a valid driver's license from the state of residence.

Education: High school diploma or G.E.D.

Experience: Experience with software applications such as CIS/Banner, word processing, spreadsheets; proficiency with ten-key calculators; knowledge of Division operations.

Additional Information: Successful completion of clerical/secretarial training programs; passing a typing test of 45 w.p.m.; passing a customer contact test; physical demands include sedentary work, brief standing or walking, and operating office equipment. Visual, hearing, and speaking abilities must be adequate.
