Receiving Clerk

MSC is growing and seeking a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment to perform daily receiving tasks, inspect shipments, and verify items and quantities.

How You’ll Contribute

You will play an active role in our warehouse to ensure the delivery of our extensive product line to customers.

• Verify products and match packing slips to P.O. using item and vendor numbers, descriptions, and quantities through visual inspections, counting, reference manuals, or measuring instruments.
• Inspect boxes for damage or improper packaging, and resolve discrepancies through research.
• Create and apply bar code labels using item numbers or purchase orders, and scan labels into the warehouse system.
• Handle all incoming inter-warehouse transfers.

- Operate basic powered equipment (pallet jack, forklift); load, unload, and move products by hand or skid; and move totes/skids for re-use.

• Stage products and prepare boxes for put-away bins, overstock, and racks.
• Cross-train in other departments to support business needs.
• Follow safety guidelines, meet productivity and quality expectations, and participate in the Work Clean program.

What It Takes

• Basic computer skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid state driver’s license, if required
• Willingness to work overtime to meet customer needs
• Internal certification to operate powered equipment within required timeframes
• Certification to pick DOT-regulated items, if necessary
• Physical ability to perform essential functions, including lifting up to 75 pounds, standing, walking, climbing, and other physical demands, with accommodations if needed.
