Job summary

FedEx Supply Chain in Dallas is seeking an entry-level Quality Inspector to support day-to-day quality operations in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will perform inspections, document results, and assist with corrective actions to ensure products meet quality and regulatory requirements.

This entry-level role emphasizes learning about quality systems, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement while working a standard day shift (Mon-Fri).

  • Participate in training, audits, and continuous improvement activities.

General Summary

This position supports day-to-day quality operations by performing inspections, monitoring processes, and assisting with documentation to ensure products and services meet established quality, regulatory, and/or customer requirements. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals seeking to develop foundational experience in quality systems, compliance, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced operational environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections, checks, and observations of products, processes, and materials to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Accurately complete quality records, logs, checklists, and other required documentation.
  • Identify, document, and elevate quality issues, nonconformances, or deviations in accordance with established procedures.
  • Support root cause investigations and corrective actions by collecting data and evidence as directed.
  • Participate in training, audits, and continuous improvement activities as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
  • Ability to follow written procedures and verbal instructions.
  • Willingness to work in a warehouse, distribution, or operational environment.
  • Ability to operate with instruction and training appropriate material handling equipment, as required.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Previous experience in quality, inspection, manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution operations.
  • Familiarity with basic quality concepts such as inspections, deviations, or standard operating procedures.
  • Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments (e.g., healthcare, food, consumer goods).
  • Exposure to ISO, GMP, or similar quality systems.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic computer skills (e.g., data entry, spreadsheets, or quality systems).
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Willingness to learn and follow quality and safety standards.
