Responsibilities include:

1. Waiting on customers promptly, courteously, accurately, and efficiently, using suggestive selling to maintain high-quality customer relations.
2. Preparing, handling, stocking, and storing all department products.
3. Rotating all department products on a first-in / first-out basis.
4. Ensuring all products are stored in proper refrigeration.
5. Stocking products within the guidelines established by the department manager.
6. Following regular cleaning schedules for equipment and cases.
7. Operating equipment such as scales and slicers, and being familiar with weights and measures standards and proper use of container and packaging materials.
8. Performing price changes as requested.
9. Operating equipment including stock dollies, mixing machines, slicers, ovens, scales, fryers, and case cutters, and using knives.
10. Providing verbal and physical assistance to customers.
11. Following recipes and keeping company recipes confidential.
12. Performing freshness checks and reconditioning products.
13. Operating hydraulic balers.
14. Performing cleaning functions such as sweeping and mopping.
15. Operating telephones and intercoms, practicing proper etiquette.
16. Following all company policies outlined in the employee handbook.
17. Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications include:

1. Ability to read and write.
2. Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
3. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
4. Ability to lift and stack up to 50 pounds.
5. Ability to reach and stock products up to 6 ft. high.
