Job Description

Summary of responsibilities:

The Clerk position is responsible for conducting the day-to-day activities related to Mail Services, as instructed by the Team Leader and in accordance with the work schedule calendar and customer's requirements. The Clerk reports to the Team Leader.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform mail-related tasks under the supervision of the Team Leader.
  2. Conduct mail runs in a timely manner, adhering to the established schedule.
  3. Process outgoing USPS mail with proper postage and packaging.
  4. Handle priority UPS/FedEx outgoing packages, ensuring paperwork accuracy for timely delivery as per customer requirements.
  5. Deliver copier paper to centralized copy rooms as needed.
  6. Sort and process daily branch mail, ensuring adherence to the mail schedule.
  7. Sort all incoming mail accurately and promptly, following the established Service Level Agreement.
  8. Research unknown and unaddressed mail to ensure correct delivery.
  9. Provide administrative support, including answering department phones and completing paperwork.
  10. Inspect work-related equipment for operational safety, report damages, and follow up.
  11. Assist customers and respond to inquiries to maintain high customer service standards.
  12. Assist in gathering production numbers, meter reads, and charge-back information for monthly reports.
  13. Participate in safety inspections and job-related training as required.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • No prior mailroom experience required.
  • Ability to operate manual, electric, and motorized cart pallet jacks.
