Responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy through the completion of scheduled cycle counts and inventory control activities. Works closely with the Inventory Control Team to perform daily, monthly, and annual cycle counts, research inventory discrepancies, identify potential causes, and assist with resolving inventory issues as directed. Supports accurate inventory records and efficient manufacturing and warehouse operations.
Demonstrate and maintain safe work practices at all times, ensuring compliance with established company safety policies, procedures, and requirements.
Contribute to the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including safety, quality, productivity, cost, and Lean/Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Perform scheduled daily, monthly, and annual inventory cycle counts in accordance with established Inventory Control procedures and guidelines.
Maintain accurate inventory records, document cycle count results, and report findings in a timely manner.
Research inventory discrepancies and assist with resolving inventory-related issues in accordance with established Inventory Control procedures.
Promptly communicate inventory discrepancies, inaccuracies, or other concerns to the Inventory Control Clerk or Production Manager to support timely resolution.
Support root cause investigations and analysis of inventory discrepancies and assist with implementing corrective actions as directed.
Perform general mathematical calculations necessary to support inventory counting, reconciliation, and recordkeeping.
Work collaboratively with Inventory Control, Production, Warehouse, and other team members to support inventory accuracy and efficient operations.
High school diploma or GED required.
Previous experience in a warehouse, inventory control, manufacturing, or similar environment preferred, but not required.
Ability to learn and follow established cycle counting procedures and effectively utilize the tools and systems required to complete inventory counts.
Ability to understand and follow inventory policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and inspection procedures.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals, and other work-related documentation.
Basic mathematical skills with the ability to perform calculations necessary for inventory counting and reconciliation.
Basic computer skills and the ability to accurately enter and maintain inventory-related information.
Ability to prepare routine reports, documentation, and correspondence.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on inventory accuracy.
Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with employees across departments.
SAP experience preferred, but not required.
Position is based 100% in a warehouse environment.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as required.
Must be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
Must be able to perform the physical activities necessary to complete inventory cycle counts throughout the warehouse.
Must comply with all established safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) while working in the warehouse.
