Job summary

Champaign County Sheriff's Office in the United States is seeking a detail-oriented clerical professional to support law enforcement and jail records by processing documents, entering data, and maintaining permanent files.

You will interact with the public by phone and in person while handling sensitive information with discretion and accuracy. The schedule is 8:00am–4:30pm, Monday through Friday, in a bargaining-unit role with AFSCME protections.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of related experience and/or training in office/clerical duties.
  • Ability to deal effectively with the public.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • (Preferred)An associate degree in business administration, communication, or liberal arts.

Summary

Compensation

Wage Range: $18.45 - $23.38 per hour.
