Join Our Team as a Full-Time Clerk, Dispatcher, and Billing Intakes Specialist!

Are you ready to take on a dynamic role that combines coordination, billing, and customer service? We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our team and make a difference in patient care.

Position Details:

  • Schedule:
    • 12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM
    • Every other weekend
    • Holidays worked as they fall on the regular shift rotation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispatch Coordination:Manage non-emergency and emergency inter-facility transports. Coordinate transport units to meet the needs of patients and customers.
  • Billing Management:Perform ambulance billing, collection, and accounts receivable management with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Customer Support:Assist clients by answering questions and resolving issues related to transports and billing.

Responsibilities:

  • Transport Scheduling:Arrange all transport requests for ambulance or custodial coach transport within UPMC Susquehanna.
  • Billing Process:Ensure accurate and timely billing and resubmission of bills as needed.
  • Quality Commitment:Promote high-quality, safe work practices. Identify and address inefficient processes, unsafe conditions, and errors.
  • Customer Payments:Accept payments from customers and provide receipts.
  • Transport Coordination:Ensure timely and effective transport by coordinating information between requesting parties and transport agencies.
  • Crew Scheduling: Arranges schedules, assigns crews, and coordinates backup units to ensure continuous service.
  • Policy Adherence:Follow all organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Reporting:Generate daily and monthly productivity and volume reports.
  • Accounts Management:Maintain and follow up on accounts receivable, billing, and collection, including coordination with collection agencies.
  • Professional Development:Commit to personal development and education.
  • Dispatch Log:Maintain dispatch log and schedule.
  • Service Excellence:Practice behaviors associated with SH Service Excellence expectations. Treat everyone with respect, dignity, and C.A.R.E. Be an ambassador for Susquehanna Health.
