Incumbent will create and maintain a safe, positive learning environment to ensure the holistic development of each student and staff member through cultural, social, spiritual, physical and academic experience. The incumbent will support the Bureau of Indian Education’s mission, which is to provide high‑quality education opportunities from early childhood through life while considering a tribe’s need for cultural and economic well‑being.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• Typing: Qualified typist with minimum 40 words per minute, assessed by a 5‑minute performance test with three or fewer errors. Certification may be obtained by self‑certification or a proficiency certificate from an authorized institution, valid for three years.
• Physical: Mostly sedentary work with walking, bending, and standing. Good distant vision in one eye and ability to read printed material of typewritten size; glasses permitted. Hearing of conversational voice required; hearing aid permitted. Physical disabilities such as amputation may be accommodated with appropriate prosthesis.
