The purpose of this role is to perform cardiac monitoring duties and monitor patients identified as a risk for falls from a remote location in a critical care nursing department and/or unit. Incumbents are distinguished by the specialized duties they perform in the critical care environment related to arrhythmia interpretation and clinical monitoring/alarm safety and monitoring patients for falls. Typical responsibilities include forms management and inter/intra-departmental communications.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma, GED or equivalent required.
EXPERIENCE:
2 years’ experience in healthcare.
LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Completion of EKG Monitoring Class
Integrative Agitation Management (IAM) Required within 30 days of hire.
