Carson City is seeking a part-time clerical assistant in the Community Development department in Carson City, Nevada. The role involves front-desk support, data entry, filing and document handling, with responsibilities for maintaining confidential records and operating standard office equipment.

This is a non-exempt, part-time position, not to exceed 1039 work hours in any fiscal year. Employees in this position will perform a variety of clerical duties for Community Development located in Carson City, Nevada.
Performs duties including customer service, data entry and retrieval, filing, typing and records storage; performs related duties as required.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations; write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentage.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
The employee will report to the Department Head for daily duties.
