Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a detail-oriented clerical assistant in radiology to create, retrieve, and maintain imaging files and to greet patients while entering orders in RIS. This role provides general support to the department and performs other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have experience handling radiology file workflows, familiarity with RIS, and strong customer service skills to resolve issues and maintain accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical setting preferred.
• Experience with radiology imaging file handling and workflow.
• Familiarity with RIS and strong customer service skills.

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintains imaging files in an organized manner and ensures availability of files as requested. (50%)
• Retrieves films, copies films and/or digitization of analog films by request of physicians, patients, and other third parties. (30%)
• Greets patients, enters orders and related information into RIS, manages customer service issues and resolves related problems. (10%)
• Maintains accurate and complete documentation of all required information. (10%)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Preferred

• 2 years experience in medical setting
