JOB SUMMARY:
In this role, you’ll work closely with the Chef to execute the menu with precision, oversee daily kitchen operations, and mentor line and prep cooks to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency in every dish. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a passion for seasonal, ingredient-driven cooking, and is ready to be part of building something exceptional from the ground up.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the kitchen line during service, ensuring dishes are prepared and plated according to restaurant standards
  • Oversee daily prep and ensure the kitchen is fully stocked and ready for service
  • Maintain consistency, quality, and timing across all stations
  • Provide guidance, support, and feedback to line and prep cooks, fostering a collaborative and respectful kitchen culture
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with the Chef, Sous Chef, and front-of-house staff
  • Ensure food safety and sanitation protocols are strictly followed throughout the kitchen.
    Monitor inventory levels, assist in ordering, and manage food waste to help control costs
  • Assist in training new kitchen staff and reinforcing best practices and standards.
    Participate in daily opening, closing, and cleaning procedures, ensuring a clean and efficient work environment
  • Bring creativity and curiosity to the kitchen—contributing ideas and supporting menu development when needed

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a host or in a guest-facing hospitality role preferred
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a naturally warm and welcoming personality
  • Comfortable using reservation management platforms (e.g., Resy, OpenTable, or similar systems)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially in a fast-paced environment
  • Calm and composed under pressure, with the ability to multitask and manage shifting priorities
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
